Bots

A bot is a persistent teammate: an agent with a name, its own instructions and its own memory. Each bot runs Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode on your machine, with the model and effort you choose in its settings.

Mention a bot with @

Type @ in any composer to pick a bot. It joins as a recipient of your next message. Mention several bots and they discuss the question in one thread. Because each bot keeps its own agent, a Claude bot and a Codex bot can answer the same question side by side.

A discussion uses one permission choice for every bot in it. When the bots don't share an agent, only Full access applies to all of them.

Memory

A bot remembers its chat as a summary of older messages plus the newest messages word for word. When a chat grows long, the bot folds the oldest messages into its summary on its own, and the chat marks where its word-for-word memory begins. /compact folds everything at once. Every message stays in the chat, and the bot can search its own history when it needs exact wording.

Notebook

Each bot keeps a notebook, an ordinary note on your Notes board, where it tracks things across turns. Its text is at the top of every one of the bot's prompts, so it survives summaries. You can edit it too; the bot merges your changes rather than overwriting them.

Its own browser

Each bot has its own Chrome or Chromium profile on your machine. It can open pages, click, type and take screenshots. A bot never types a password: when it needs a sign-in, the chat shows Sign in needed. You choose Take over, sign in on the live page and choose I’m done. Bot settings list the sites it is signed in to, each with Sign out.

Its own terminal

Open bot terminal opens a shell in the bot's own folder. You and the bot can both type into it, and you see the same screen the bot reads.

Bots start coding chats

A bot doesn't edit project code itself. Asked for a change, it starts a coding chat in its own worktree and branch, follows it, sends follow-ups, and tidies it away when the work is done. The chat says which bot started it. A bot can start at most ten chats an hour, and can only follow chats it started or was invited into.

Queued messages

Messages you send while a bot is answering wait in a queue. You can reorder, edit or remove them, or choose Send now.
